Our Mission
We develop digital solutions that help older adults preserve their memories, express their needs, and stay connected with family and friends. With Ria, we create simple, accessible pathways for genuine communication, personal well-being, and greater self-determination in everyday life, driven by the belief that every person deserves to be heard, seen, and understood.
Our Vision
We are supporting a world where older people are seen, heard, and valued, their stories, voices, and needs honoured across distances, life stages, and generations. Our vision is a society where aging is not about retreat, but about meaning, connection, and self-determination.
At Ria, we believe memories are more than the past; they shape identity, foster closeness, and build bridges between generations. We work to ensure that older adults remain actively engaged in family life, not despite their age, but because of the wisdom and rich experiences they bring.
We encourage real conversations over isolation, relationships over routine care, and humanity over mere functionality. Through technology that empowers rather than overwhelms, we support everyday life, caregiving, and connection. In doing so, we enable independence, dignity, and deeper bonds.
We are working toward a future where no one is forgotten, where stories are carried forward, needs are respected, and people are valued for who they truly are.
Our Team
The team consists of people living in Germany and a team in South Africa - the intercultural cooperation made Ria more universally relevant and our Start-Up life much more fun. Together, the team shares a passion for using technology to bring families closer
